Mentoring the Vulnerable: Young Adults in Crisis
Journey to Identity is a Christian based organization. Founded with main aim of mentoring young adults between 13 -25 years of age. What inspired this vision is through my interaction with these young people. I found some, if not most, faced some crises when they were growing up. This led to a real identity crisis. If not taken care of, it can cause a lifetime of lack of identity and they end up seeking it through abusive relationships for girls. Boys may engage in drug abuse, gangs and other ways of seeking attention.
My desire is to walk with these young people and journey towards real identity found in Christ. For one to know their identity, it begins with one loving and accepting who they are and the purpose God had when creating them.
Three things that I incorporate in this program are; self-awareness, self-esteem and identity in Christ.
